After the magic and mayhem of 2019’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, RoughCast return to the Mediterranean for more supernatural Shakespearean shenanigans. The Tempest is a comedy of magic, betrayal, love and forgiveness. Cast adrift on an island inhabited only by a wildman, Caliban, and nature spirit, Ariel, Prospero, a powerful magician and one-time Duke of Milan plots revenge on those who cast him and his beautiful daughter, Miranda, out of their home. In the space of two action-packed hours, Prospero has to use all his powers to shipwreck the conspirators and bring them to justice, fend off murder plots and rebellions as well as keep a fatherly eye on the burgeoning romance between Miranda and the son of his old enemy.
